Getting Started

Paralux is exclusively designed for Apple Vision Pro running visionOS. It is not available for iPhone, iPad, or Mac at this time.
Tap the Open button in the toolbar to launch the document picker. Navigate to iCloud Drive, On My Device, or any available file provider. Paralux supports JPEG, PNG, HEIC, TIFF, RAW, and more.
In the Open menu, choose Apple Photos. Grant Paralux access when prompted, and your full library — including albums, recents, and RAW files — will be available to browse directly in the app.

Google Drive

Tap Open → Google Drive in the toolbar. You'll be prompted to sign in with your Google account via a secure browser window. Once authenticated, your Drive folders and images load directly inside Paralux.
No. Paralux uses a secure OAuth 2.0 sign-in flow and only requests read-only access to your Google Drive files. We never store your Google credentials, password, or any personal account data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Paralux requests read-only access and only shows image files and folders containing images. Folders with no images (documents, spreadsheets, etc.) are filtered out to keep the experience focused on your photos.

Features

While viewing any image, tap the Immersive Mode button (the goggles icon) in the toolbar. The image will expand to fill your entire spatial field of view. Press the Digital Crown or tap the button again to exit.
When you open an equirectangular panoramic image (standard 2:1 aspect ratio), Paralux automatically detects it and offers Panorama Mode. The image wraps into a 360° sphere around you — just turn your head to explore every angle.
In the right-side action panel, tap the Super Resolution icon. Choose 2× or 4× upscale, then tap Upscale Image. When processing completes, use the Export button to save as JPEG, PNG, HEIC, or TIFF to your Files or Photos library.
Liquid Glass Lighting is a feature unique to Paralux. As you navigate between images, the app analyzes each photo's dominant color palette and tints the window chrome and background with a matching ambient glow — making each viewing session feel alive and dynamic.
Paralux supports JPEG, PNG, HEIC/HEIF, TIFF, GIF, BMP, WebP, and RAW formats from major DSLR and mirrorless cameras (Canon CR2/CR3, Nikon NEF, Sony ARW, and more via Apple's RAW support).

Troubleshooting

First, make sure you have an active internet connection for iCloud or Google Drive photos. For local files, confirm the file isn't corrupted. Try force-quitting Paralux and reopening. If the issue persists, email us at jesse@jessebarrios.com with the file format and source.
Try signing out and signing back in via the Google Drive panel. Ensure you have a stable internet connection. If the browser window fails to load, try resetting visionOS Safari settings or contact us for further help.
Very large RAW files (50MB+) require significant processing. Close other running apps on your Vision Pro to free up resources. Performance improves once thumbnails are cached after the first load. We're continually optimizing RAW decoding in each update.
